Luis is a member of: International Brotherhood of Magicians; Society of American Magicians; Texas Association of Magicians; Past President (2 terms) of the Lincoln Magic Club SAM #293; Omaha Magic Society Assembly #7
In 1986, Luis helped start Bill Morton International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring and was a charter member. Luis was the President of this Ring for 2 terms. For nine years, from 1989 to 1998, Luis and Rogene Villamonte performed magic professionally (almost 300 shows a year).
In 1995 Luis started The Computer Magician, a thriving computer business he continues to run today. In 2001, Luis launched yet another business- Magickits.com.
Luis created, designed and helped in manufacturing 25+ “house brand” magic kits. MagicKits.com has over 200 different magic kits available at any given time. Luis enjoys countless hours searching for creative magic from all over the world to put on the site.
Filled with both mystery, fun, humor, & excitement – Villamonte’s Magic shows are loved by thousands and have been booked all over the USA!
Although Luis is not performing full time anymore, he will do an occasional show to keep sharp and promote the art.

Luis has appeared on national TV as well as an award winning Netflix movie called “Make Believe.” It just a few second part, but he is very proud of his son Vincent Villamonte whom appears throughout the movie. This was a contest Vincent was in. Look it up!

David P. Abbott Award
In 2015, Luis was given the prestigious “David P. Abbott” Award by his peers in the Omaha Magical Society for his lifetime achievements in magic (theomahamagicalsociety.org).
David P. Abbott was an American magician, author, and collector of magical artifacts who was most renowned for the books he wrote, which were an invaluable resource to magicians in the early 20th century. He was also the founder of the famous Abbott‘s Magic Novelty Company. His achievements in the world of magic were recognized when he was awarded the prestigious David P. Abbott Award for Excellence in Magic. The award was established in 1987 by the International Brotherhood of Magicians as a tribute to Abbott‘s contributions to the field of magic. It is awarded annually to an individual who has shown excellence in all aspects of magic, from performing to writing. Recipients of the award are selected by a panel of judges, who look for qualities such as creativity, innovation, and the ability to entertain.
The David P. Abbott Award for Excellence in Magic is a much sought–after honor in the world of magic. It is a testament to Abbott‘s achievements in the field and serves as a reminder of the impact he had on the art of magic. The award recognizes the efforts of magicians to produce innovative and entertaining performances, and is a fitting tribute to the legacy of David P. Abbott.

Born in David City Nebraska, Mrs. Villamonte has come a long way since her high school graduation all the way up to getting a degree as a Paralegal Secretary.
